About us
As
a wine lover, I am always excited to receive a bottle of wine as a
gift. The colour, the smell, the taste, the whole grandeur of
opening and drinking a good bottle of wine is a wonderful
experience.
We started Wooden Wine Box Company in 2003 with
two main aims - firstly, to make it easy to choose and send a
quality gift to a family member, a friend or a business associate;
and secondly, to ensure that, when they receive the gift, they are
surprised and delighted with it.
All of our bottles - wine,
champagne and port - are carefully selected for their high quality
and their value for money, so that we ensure you will not be
disappointed. We do not offer the everyday wines that you can buy
at the supermarket, but the more exclusive bottles sourced
carefully from the world's top vineyards.
The bottles are
packaged in top quality, hand assembled pine boxes, made with
timber sourced from certified forests in Scandinavia, and enclosed
with a short personal message from you. The boxes are finished
with a smart rope handle.
When you have chosen your gift
and confirmed the order, we distribute your package direct to the
recipient so that it is delivered the next working day, or at a
time you designate. All very simple.
This service can be
used for any number of occasions. Personal wine
gift boxes are sent for birthdays, Christmas, weddings,
anniversaries, births, christenings, Father's/Mother's Day,
retirements, house warming gifts, graduations, thank yous, and
dinner parties. Or just send a bottle to let someone know that you
are thinking of them.
Our corporate
service is for product launches, corporate events, company
anniversaries, Christmas gifts, and customer appreciation
gifts.

Further
to recent local press reviews in the Kent and Sussex Courier, The
Eastbourne Herald, The Sussex Express, and Sussex Life magazine,
we continue our publicity drive with advertisements in the local
and national press and on the internet.
We have also
updated the website, adding a mailing list facility, the ability
to download the price list, and a recommended sites page. We
believe that this will enhance our service.
Finally, we
have agreed to donate some prizes to the forthcoming CIS Gift of
Life Golf Classic at Wildwood Golf Club in Surrey. The Gift of
Life Trust aims to inform the public of the benefits of organ and
tissue donation, therefore increasing the number of people on the
national donor register. George Best, amongst notable others, is
lending support to this cause.
